Stock Near Me is a Shopify app operated by ComercIA. The app helps merchants display in-store product availability by location on product pages.
2. Information we collect from Shopify
To provide the app's core functionality, we access limited store data made available by Shopify after a merchant installs the app and grants permission.
- Product data: product and variant identifiers needed to show stock for the currently selected variant.
- Inventory data: inventory availability for a variant across the merchant's locations.
- Location data: location names and address details that the merchant chooses to display to shoppers.
- Store and app session data: shop domain, app authentication details, scope information, and technical session metadata required to securely operate the app.
3. Information we collect directly from merchants
- Configuration selected inside the app, such as visible locations and safety stock values.
- Support communications that merchants send to us by email.
- Technical information included in troubleshooting requests, such as shop domain, screenshots, product URLs, theme details, and error descriptions.
4. Information we collect from merchant customers
Stock Near Me is not designed to collect or use protected customer data from Shopify APIs such as customer profiles, orders, payments, or checkout details.
When a shopper loads a storefront page that contains the Stock Near Me block, our systems may receive limited technical request data that is normally generated by web requests, such as IP address, browser details, and request timestamps. We use this information only for security, reliability, and debugging.
5. How we use information
- Authenticate the app with Shopify and maintain secure sessions.
- Retrieve and display inventory availability by location for the selected product variant.
- Store merchant preferences, including hidden locations and safety stock settings.

6. Shopify permissions used by the app
The app currently requests the following Shopify permissions:

We request only the permissions necessary to provide the app's current
functionality. The read_themes scope is used to detect
whether the selected theme supports Online Store 2.0 app blocks and
to guide merchants through onboarding.
7. Sharing of information
We do not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers that help us host, secure, or operate the app and website, but only as needed to provide the service. We may also disclose information when required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the security of merchants, shoppers, Shopify, or our services.
8. Data retention
We retain information only for as long as it is reasonably necessary to provide the app, maintain security, resolve disputes, meet legal obligations, or fulfill valid support requests.
- App configuration and session records are kept while the merchant uses the app and for a limited period afterward when needed for security, backup, compliance, or troubleshooting purposes.
- Support records are retained for as long as needed to manage support history and related operational issues.

We and our service providers may process information in countries other than the country where the merchant or shopper is located. When we do so, we take reasonable steps to protect information in accordance with applicable law.

12. Website usage
